A 45-year-old mason is in jail after appearing before the Odumase-Krobo Circuit Court. He faces a charge of defiling a two-year-old girl.
The incident is reported to have happened at Ogome, a town near Somanya in the Eastern Region.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him in court.
The court decided to remand him into prison custody while the case continues.
