A man is in police custody after allegedly chopping off his elder brother's hand. The incident occurred at their family home in Aboabo, Kumasi.
The Kumasi Circuit Court heard that the 35-year-old suspect allegedly attacked his brother during a dispute.
Court documents state the elder brother sustained a severed hand as a result of the alleged attack.
The prosecution requested that the suspect be remanded to allow for further police investigation into the matter.
The court granted the request and ordered the suspect to be held in police custody.
The case has been adjourned pending further inquiries by the police.
