A 27-year-old man named Yussif Zakari has died. He was allegedly beaten by a group of people in Sabon Zongo. This happened in the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 19, 2026. Zakari and another person, Baaba Adamu, were accused of stealing GH¢4,800.
Residents reportedly confronted Zakari and Adamu. A struggle or altercation may have followed the accusations.
Zakari sustained serious injuries during the alleged assault. He later died from these injuries.
