Fishermen found a body on Saturday at the Osu Castle beach. The body was badly decomposed.
Authorities believe it could be Kwaku Mensah, a 40-year-old man. He was reported missing by his family last week.
Police officers were called to the scene. They have begun an investigation into how the man died.
The Ghana Police Service is examining the circumstances surrounding the death.
