Police have arrested a couple in Awutu Bontrase in the Central Region. They are accused of beheading their newborn baby shortly after birth.
The Awutu Bereku District Police Command is investigating the matter. The suspects are identified as 22-year-old Abena Benewa and 26-year-old Bright Ashiao.
Authorities allege the couple also removed the baby's left hand. These alleged actions are believed to be connected to suspected rituals for money.
