An armed robbery occurred this morning near COCOBOD in Koforidua. Attackers targeted a bullion van.
During the attack, a police escort protecting the van was killed. Another police officer was injured.
The robbers managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of money. The incident happened on June 27, 2026.
The Ghana Police Service has stated that an investigation into the matter has begun.
Authorities are gathering evidence and seeking witnesses to aid in identifying and apprehending the suspects.
