An Assembly Member for the Agona Asafo Electoral Area, Ishmael Odoom, has been shot. He is in critical condition after the incident.
The robbery occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. It happened at a busy area known as 'Me Na Ye' Junction.
Armed robbers attacked Mr. Odoom and his friend. They took cash from them.
The Agona East District is where the incident took place. Police are investigating the shooting.
