Police in the Ashanti South Region have killed two suspected robbers. They were part of a gang operating along the Obuasi-Dunkwa Highway. This happened on March 10, 2026.
The Ashanti South Police Command carried out the operation. They also arrested other individuals believed to be part of the robbery gang.
Authorities seized a Toyota saloon car during the operation. Guns and ammunition were also recovered from the suspects.
The Regional Commander, DCOP Joseph Hammond Nyaabah, spoke about the incident at a media briefing. The briefing was held in Bekwai.
