Police officers in the Ashanti South region have shot and killed two suspected armed robbers. The incident occurred as police were taking action against a gang operating along the Obuasi-Dunkwa Highway.
During the operation, police also managed to arrest other individuals believed to be part of the robbery group. A Toyota saloon car and several weapons were recovered from the suspects.
The Ashanti South Police Command stated that the robbers were engaged in criminal activities on the highway. Details about the specific confrontation leading to the deaths were provided by the Regional Commander.
