Two suspected armed robbers were shot and killed by police in the Ashanti South region. This happened during an operation on the Obuasi-Dunkwa Highway. They were part of a gang causing trouble on the road.

The Ashanti South Police Command conducted the operation. They also arrested other individuals suspected of being involved in robbery activities.

During the arrests, officers seized a Toyota saloon car. They also recovered guns and ammunition from the suspects.
