Political thugs allegedly from the All Progressives Congress (APC) disrupted an event in Bakassi Local Government Area. The incident occurred on Saturday.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) had planned to open a new secretariat. The attackers arrived at the venue for the planned opening.
The thugs reportedly dispersed supporters of the ADC. They also destroyed property at the event location.
Destroyed items included canopies and loudspeakers. Chairs were also reported damaged.
The motive behind the disruption has not been officially stated. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
