A 66-year-old woman has been remanded by the Ashaiman Circuit Court in connection with the death of a toddler under her care. The accused, Madam Josephine Avlekpor, faces a manslaughter charge.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred when the child sustained severe burns while being bathed with hot water by the accused. The toddler subsequently died from the injuries. The court has ordered the suspect to remain in custody as investigations continue.
