Two police officers met their tragic end in a road accident on the Ofoase–Ayirebi road. The officers were off duty at the time of the incident. They were riding a motorbike that collided with a tricycle.
The Eastern Region police command has confirmed the deaths. The deceased have been identified as Lance Corporal Anti Isaac and Constable Thomas Allonyor. Their families have been informed.
The crash occurred on the Ofoase–Ayirebi road. This road passes through the Akyemansa District. The collision between the motorbike and the tricycle was severe.
Both officers sustained fatal injuries. Emergency services were called to the scene. Efforts to save the officers were unsuccessful.
