Vehicle owners will soon receive electronic tickets for traffic offences. The Ghana Police Service begins using the Traffitech-GH system on October 1, 2026.
Traffitech-GH is an automated system. It uses cameras and sensors to identify drivers who break road traffic laws.
The system will catch drivers for various offences. These include speeding and jumping red lights.
Driving without insurance or a valid roadworthiness certificate will also be detected.
This new technology aims to improve road safety across the country.
The Ghana Police Service stated that the system will help enforce traffic regulations more effectively.
More details about the system and its operations are expected.
