Commercial drivers in Kumasi have stopped their services. They are protesting the arrest of some drivers. These drivers were arrested for increasing fares by GH¢1.

The drivers operate on the Santasi-Tech and Santasi-Ejisu routes. They parked their vehicles to show their disagreement with the arrests.

The drivers state that the fare increase is necessary. They need it to help cover rising fuel prices. The cost of running their vehicles has also gone up.

The Ghana Police Service has not yet released an official statement on the arrests or the drivers' protest.

The drivers have not said when they will resume their services.
