Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio has been convicted of drink-driving.
The court found the 23-year-old centre-back guilty in Gran Canaria in August.
Asencio was more than three times the legal alcohol limit when stopped.
A court source confirmed the conviction to AFP.
He was fined €14,400, which is about $16,700.
His driving licence has also been suspended for eight months.
The conviction came after a trial held in Gran Canaria.
