The Ghana Police Service has taken action against drivers using illegal equipment on their vehicles. In the Western Region, about 700 cars were stopped.

Officers removed unapproved beacon lights and strobe lights. Seven sirens that were installed without permission were also taken off.

This enforcement happened in Takoradi and Tarkwa. It is part of a larger plan by the police across the country.

The police aim to ensure road safety and proper use of vehicle equipment. Using unauthorized sirens and lights can cause confusion and danger on the roads.

Drivers found with these illegal items faced consequences. The operation focused on making sure all vehicles follow traffic laws.
