Police officers in Accra have impounded 40 vehicles that did not have proper registration numbers.
The operation took place in the Osu district.
This action by the Accra Regional Police command is meant to crack down on people breaking traffic rules.
It is also a measure to improve safety and security in the city.
The Ghana Police Service stated that unregistered vehicles pose a security risk.
Further checks will be conducted on the seized vehicles.
