The Ghana Police Service is launching a new system to catch drivers who break traffic laws. This system is called TraffiTech GH.
Starting October 1, 2026, cameras and other digital devices will be used to spot traffic offences. This means drivers must be careful to follow all road rules.
ACP Alexander Kweku Obeng, who leads Education, Research and Training at the Motor Traffic and Transport Department, spoke about the new system. He warned drivers that the cameras will detect violations.
The goal is to improve road safety across the country. By using technology, police aim to reduce accidents and ensure drivers obey speed limits and other traffic regulations.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to road signs and speed limits. The TraffiTech GH system is designed to make roads safer for everyone.
More details about how the system will work will be shared by the police in the coming weeks.
