One person has died following a serious road accident in Kumasi. A tipper truck was involved in the collision.
The incident happened around 4:00 pm on the Krofrom-Tafo-Nhyiaeso stretch in the Ashanti Region. The truck hit about seven vehicles and motorbikes.
Several other people sustained injuries in the crash. Emergency services responded to the scene.
The Ghana Police Service confirmed the fatality and injuries. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
The accident caused significant disruption on the busy road.
