Emmanuel Etroo was in the hospital for six months. He was hurt in a road accident on February 15, 2026. The accident happened on the Takoradi–Agona road near Ewusiejoe.
A Sprinter bus hit Mr. Etroo while he was riding his motorbike. He suffered serious injuries to his right leg.
He could not leave the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital because of his medical bills. The total amount owed was GHC39,110.
The Western Regional Minister learned about Mr. Etroo's situation. The minister then paid the full hospital bill.
This payment allows Mr. Etroo to be discharged from the hospital. He can now continue his recovery at home.
