Roadside checks for driving licenses and traffic law violations by the police will soon be a thing of the past. The Ghana Police Service, the National Road Safety Authority NRSA and the Ministry of Transport are introducing a new digital system.

This initiative aims to improve the enforcement of road traffic regulations across Ghana. The goal is to significantly reduce the number of road accidents.

The new system will allow for digital monitoring and enforcement of traffic laws. This will replace the current method of physical stops and checks by police officers.

Officials state that this move is part of efforts to modernize the countrys transportation safety measures. A specific timeline for full implementation was not immediately provided.

The digital platform is expected to enhance efficiency and transparency in traffic law enforcement. It will also help in creating a safer road environment for all users.
