Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party NPP, is campaigning to become the party's national chairman. He met with party leaders in the Western Region recently to discuss his plans.
Known widely as Chairman Wontumi, he encouraged delegates to think about who can best help the party grow and connect with voters.
He stated that being good at grassroots work and having practical skills should be the main things considered when choosing a leader.
Wontumi added that how well someone speaks English should not be the most important factor.
He believes that a leader's ability to perform tasks and understand the needs of party members at the local level is key.
This approach focuses on practical leadership and community engagement within the party structure.
