Workers and employers in Ghana's shea industry have signed a major agreement. This is the first Collective Bargaining Agreement for the sector.

The deal establishes formal labour standards for the shea industry.

This sector is very important and employs many women. Hundreds of thousands of women work in the shea industry in northern Ghana.

The agreement creates a structured and legally recognised framework. This will help protect the rights and working conditions of these employees.
