Traditional leaders from the Sampa Traditional Area have publicly asked President John Dramani Mahama to intervene in a chieftaincy conflict. The leaders expressed concern that the dispute is growing and could affect peace in the area.

They made this appeal at a press briefing held in Accra. The leaders stated the situation has become an escalating crisis.

The traditional area is in the Bono Region. The appeal was made on Thursday, March 12.
