The Public Utilities and Regulatory Commission known as PURC has introduced Ghana's first commercial tariff for charging electric vehicles.

This new pricing structure aims to support the country's move towards cleaner energy options.

The PURC has announced the rate for charging electric cars at public stations.

The cost is set at 201.6 Ghana pesewas for each kilowatt-hour of electricity used.

Additionally, a monthly service charge of GH¢500 will apply to these charging services.

This development is a significant step in encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles in Ghana.
