Ghana's presidential jet, a Dassault Falcon 900, is in the country and fully functional. This was confirmed by former Deputy Defence Minister Kofi Amankwaa-Manu.

The jet recently underwent routine servicing in France. Mr. Amankwaa-Manu made these statements during a discussion on radio.

He was speaking about the government's plans to possibly acquire a new presidential aircraft.

His comments clarified the current operational status of the existing jet.
