President John Dramani Mahama has ordered an urgent high-level meeting concerning national security. The meeting will address critical issues of border security and the fight against illegal drugs.

Heads of key institutions have been invited to the Jubilee House. This includes leaders from port authorities, customs, intelligence services, and other security bodies.

The invitation letter was issued by the Office of the President. It was signed by the Secretary to the President.

The gathering is set to take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026. It aims to find solutions to ongoing security challenges at Ghana's borders and within the country related to narcotics.
