A traveler endured a difficult six and a half hour flight because of a fellow passenger's loud snoring. The noise was so disruptive it forced the traveler to use earplugs.

This was the first time in nine years of international travel that earplugs were needed due to another passenger's noise.

The sounds were described as thunderous and unavoidable, unlike typical cabin noises such as engine hum or cabin pressure changes.

The incident suggests that good manners while flying, known as air travel courtesy, are becoming less common.

The traveler shared their experience following the flight.
