Nana Dwamena Akenten II, the chief of Offinsoman, has fully supported the Minority Caucus in Parliament. He urged them to speak out for the farmers.
The chief's charge came on Sunday. Minority Members of Parliament had started a week-long visit to cocoa farming communities.
The Minority MPs are in the Ashanti Region. They are visiting areas where cocoa is grown.
Their goal is to hear directly from the farmers about their needs and challenges.
Nana Dwamena Akenten II wants the minority MPs to bring these issues to Parliament.
He emphasized the importance of the cocoa industry to the nation's economy.
