The chief of Offinso, Nana Dwamena Akenten II, has pledged his support to the Minority Caucus in Parliament. He encouraged them to speak for cocoa farmers.
The chief's message came on Sunday. It was directed at Minority Members of Parliament visiting the Ashanti Region. The MPs are on a week-long tour of cocoa-growing communities.
Nana Dwamena Akenten II specifically asked the MPs to raise the concerns of cocoa farmers. He wants their issues to be heard loudly.
The Minority MPs were led by their Chief Whip. He is also the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri. The delegation received the chief's blessing for their advocacy.
