Richard Ahiagbah, speaking for the New Patriotic Party, stated that the current struggles of Ghanaian workers indicate the economy is not as strong as the government suggests. He observed that the government has highlighted achievements like single-digit inflation and a stable exchange rate.

However, Ahiagbah pointed out that these claims do not match the reality faced by many workers. He suggested that the challenges workers are experiencing will eventually reveal the actual state of the economy.

He believes that if the government continues to present a false picture of economic success, the demands of workers will serve as proof of the difficulties they are enduring.
