A political party official has called for the sale of Ghana's presidential jet. Dela Edem, speaking for the National Democratic Congress NDC, suggested this action.

Edem believes the proceeds from selling the aircraft should be used to support national development efforts. This proposal comes as the country considers acquiring a new jet.

The current presidential aircraft is a Dassault Falcon 900. It was recently sent to France for its annual service.

Edem made these remarks on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem program. He argued that development needs should take priority.
