Dela Edem, a communicator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for the sale of Ghana’s presidential jet. He believes the money from selling the aircraft can be used for important development projects.
Edem made these remarks on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem program. He stated that the government should prioritize using the proceeds for national development.
The presidential jet, a Dassault Falcon 900, was recently sent to France for its yearly service. Edem suggested this downtime is an opportunity to consider its sale.
He argued that acquiring a new aircraft should only happen after the current one is sold and its funds allocated to development needs.
