A communicator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for the sale of Ghana's presidential jet. Dela Edem stated the aircraft could be sold to generate funds for national development.
Edem made this suggestion on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem program. He believes the proceeds from selling the jet should be used for development first.
This proposal comes as the country's Dassault Falcon 900 jet recently underwent its annual maintenance in France.
Edem did not specify which development projects would benefit from the sale. He also did not comment on the cost of a new presidential jet, if one is planned.
