Dela Edem, representing the National Democratic Congress NDC, said the presidential jet should be sold.
He stated the money raised could help fund important national development projects.
Edem made these remarks during an appearance on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem program.
He suggested this should happen before the government considers acquiring a new presidential aircraft.
Edem noted that the current presidential jet, a Dassault Falcon 900, underwent its annual service in France.
