Dela Edem, who speaks for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for the sale of Ghana's presidential jet. He wants the government to use the money from selling the plane for national development.

Edem stated this during a discussion on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem program. He believes this action should happen before any decision is made about acquiring a new aircraft.

The current presidential jet is a Dassault Falcon 900. It was recently sent to France for its annual service.

The NDC communicator's suggestion highlights a debate about state assets and their use for public good.
