The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, has called for a specific way to judge the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

He believes the institution should be assessed on its mandate and legal powers.

The MP stated that the focus should not be on the person currently holding the Special Prosecutor position.

He made these remarks during a discussion on JoyNews’ Newsfile program.

Mr. Baffour Awuah argued that public conversations about the OSP should concentrate on its established role.

This includes understanding its legal framework and the authority granted to it.

He urged Ghanaians to look at the institution itself.

This ensures a consistent evaluation regardless of who is appointed to lead the office.
