The Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, has spoken out against the government's choice to lower the producer price of cocoa beans.
Dr. Asamoah believes this decision is a betrayal to cocoa farmers. These farmers had supported the current government believing in its election promises.
He proposed that the government could have created a special fund to help farmers. This fund would offer support instead of reducing the price they receive for their cocoa.
