The Minority Caucus in Parliament has strongly condemned the closure of the National Health Insurance Authority NHIA office in Ejisu, Ashanti Region. They are calling for the immediate arrest of all persons involved in this act.

Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie, Ranking Member on Parliament’s Health Committee, described the incident as an attack on public service. He stated this during a press conference.

The youth, identified as NDC youth, are alleged to have been responsible for the closure. Their actions are seen as a disruption to the essential services provided by the NHIA office.

The Minority Caucus emphasized that such protests are unlawful and unacceptable. They called for an end to what they termed nonsense protests.

Authorities are expected to investigate the matter. Individuals found responsible will face legal consequences.
