Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources Kenneth Gilbert Adjei visited the Weija Dam. This was part of his tour of important water facilities.
He saw how the Weija Water Treatment Plant is working. He also learned about the problems the dam is facing.
A major worry is people building homes and businesses on land belonging to the dam. This is called encroachment.
The Minister promised that action will be taken. He wants to stop people from building on the dam's land.
This visit happened after he started his new job as Minister.
