Lebanon's government has officially condemned an attack on a United Nations base in southern Lebanon.

The attack resulted in injuries to several peacekeepers serving with the UN Interim Force in Lebanon UNIFIL.

A statement from Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on March 7 described the incident as a severe breach of international law.
