A team from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre visited the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection. The delegation was led by the Centre's Commandant, Air Vice Marshall David Akrong.
They met with Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, who is the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection. The meeting aimed to strengthen the collaboration between the two institutions.
The focus was on initiatives related to women, peace, and security. This included ways to improve gender mainstreaming in peace and security operations.
The KAIPTC delegation and the Minister discussed how to deepen their existing partnership. They explored new strategies for joint projects and programs.
The discussions are part of ongoing efforts to promote gender equality and empower women in peacebuilding roles across Ghana and the wider region.
