The Institute for Energy Security has asked the government to temporarily stop collecting the Price Stabilisation and Recovery Levy.

This call comes as the prices of oil on the world market continue to increase.

IES stated that suspending the levy would help Ghanaians deal with higher fuel costs at the pump.

They believe this measure is necessary to reduce the financial burden on consumers.
