Relegation-threatened Hohoe United delivered a shock result on Matchday 25. They beat league leaders Medeama Sporting Club by 2 goals to 1.
The match took place at the TNA Park in Tarkwa. This venue is Medeama's home ground.
Medeama were hoping to increase their lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings. They moved into the game on the back of previous results involving other top teams.
However, Hohoe United fought hard to claim the crucial three points. The result puts pressure on Medeama who are now in a difficult spell.
The loss marks another significant step in Medeama's challenging period. They are now deeper into their unwanted winless run.
