Hawa Koomson has asked the government to release a nurse named Salomey Baffoe. Koomson is seeking a position as National Women’s Organiser for the New Patriotic Party.
Salomey Baffoe is 40 years old and has three children. She is reportedly being held by authorities.
Baffoe is accused of having links to an anonymous social media account called "Ghana Jollof".
Koomson posted a statement on Facebook on Thursday, September 17, 2026. In the statement, she asked for Baffoe to be granted bail.
