Ghana is celebrating its 69th Independence Day on March 6, 2026. A national parade is scheduled to take place at the forecourt of the Jubilee House.
The theme for this year's celebration is Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope. This aims to focus national attention on development and optimism.
High-ranking officials including Ministers of State and members of the diplomatic corps will be in attendance. Invited members of the general public are also expected.
Kwame Kwakye Ofosu, a government official, stated that the total cost for the 69th Independence Day celebration is estimated to be around GHC1.5 million.
