Lawrence Lamptey, Deputy Chief Executive for Maintenance at the Ghana Highway Authority, spoke to engineers about better road upkeep. He emphasized how important good roads are for Ghana’s progress.

Lamptey stated that roads that are not built or maintained properly end up costing taxpayers more money. They also cause inconvenience for everyone using them.

He encouraged the engineers to use modern technology and data. This, he explained, would help in making the country's roads better.

The goal is to improve the road network across Ghana.

He made these remarks in a statement referencing the importance of national development.
