The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana, known as CETAG, has written to the Minister for Education. They want the Minister to cancel a recent appointment.
The appointment is for an acting Vice Principal at the Dambai College of Education. CETAG believes this decision was not made correctly.
CETAG states that the person appointed was a Senior Assistant Librarian. They argue this goes against the established rules for academic governance. These rules explain how colleges should be managed and who should hold certain positions.
The association is urging the Education Minister to look into the matter. They hope the Minister will agree to revoke the appointment. CETAG believes following the rules is important for the college.
