Political thugs allegedly linked to the All Progressives Congress (APC) disrupted an event in Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State on Saturday.
The opening of a secretariat for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was underway when the attackers arrived.
Witnesses reported that the thugs dispersed supporters of the ADC and destroyed property at the venue.
Items damaged included canopies, loudspeakers, and chairs.
The attackers were described as loyal to the APC.
Law enforcement is investigating the incident.
